Role Summary
ISP is seeking a Facilities Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for multiple industrial sites in Michigan. Based in the Lansing area, this role oversees day-to-day facility operations, maintenance, and vendor coordination across assigned locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, team-oriented, and committed to delivering strong customer service while ensuring properties meet ISP standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of multiple industrial properties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues across assigned locations
- Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects
- Conduct regular site visits with the cadence based on building occupancy to assess property conditions, identify issues, and ensure consistent standards across locations
- Complete site inspection reports, document site conditions with photos, and keep the assigned property manager in the loop on any action items
- Monitor and support building systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, plumbing, and mechanical systems as required per tenant leases
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life
- Respond to tenant requests and ensure timely and effective resolution of facility-related concerns
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities
- Partner with Property Management and Construction teams on necessary repairs and building improvement projects
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 – 5+ years of facilities, property, or industrial site management experience
- Working knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical)
- Experience managing vendors and coordinating projects across multiple locations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Technical or trade background
- Familiarity with safety compliance standards (OSHA, etc.)
